Product Description
Each year we look forward to the Ural Factory Engineers and Designers inspiration for the limited edition series. Ural Sahara was one of them and still continues to be by far the most desirable 2WD Ural ever. It is considered to be the Limited Edition for 2008, but it was sold in 2009 as a 2009 Model Year. Unfortunately for all of us there were only 50 Sahara bikes built for the U.S. market and they are pretty much impossible to find, because there owners have absolutely no desire to part with them.
Also, there were 35 similar specification bikes built for European market as a 2007 Limited Edition. These are even more desirable and are called “Pustinya” (in Russian Desert). In addition to the Sahara specifications these bikes had additional exciting details - Black European Exhaust (pea-shooter), set of German Knobby Tires and a color matched front mounted Ammo Box on the right side of the sidecar.
Any military theme Ural looks like it just came from the Indiana Jones era, but what makes the “Sahara” and “Pustinya” belong to that era even more is the fact that all bike parts are painted the same color – bike and sidecar frame, suspensions, arm and levers, wheels … everything. This is tedious and time consuming process that was only done on “Sahara”, “Pustinya” and “Taiga” Limited Edition Urals. On all other Urals these parts are painted in flat black and body parts are painted in specific color.
We at Ural of New England proudly sold 18 out of the 50 Sahara Urals, and due to special circumstances recently got one back in trade. We are very excited and happy to offer this Sahara for your consideration. We took it a step further. Not only we fully reconditioned and thoroughly serviced this bike to meet our high standards, well … we equipped it with Black European Exhaust (pea-shooter), set of German Knobby Tires and a color matched front mounted Ammo Box on the right side of the sidecar! In addition, we supplied sidecar cover and a spare wheel cover that are made from “Brezent” - material that was used in Russian Military in the old days. This bike has the rugged, elegant and exclusive look and feel! Bike only has 9621km (5979mi) of a very well cared for operation. After our reconditioning this one-of-fifty Sahara Urals is ready for the showroom floor of any museum or a Cross Country trip through hi-ways, mountains and prairies if needed. it represents museum level quality cosmetic condition as well as top notch mechanical condition that you would expect from Ural of New England team.

I Love My Ural Sahara !
I bought the 2009 Sahara Edition via the internet last November. After a pain-free sales transaction with Dimitry my Ural was shipped to me in Detroit. Now that the weather here in Michigan has warmed up, I have been out on the Ural with my wife in the sidecar and we are having a great time. Everything on my Ural was done as stated by the dealer and they sent copies of all service records since new to prove it. My Sahara looks new, even with 5,400 mile on her. They did an amazing job on the service work and touch-up painting, and used synthetic fluids all the way through. Just the way I like it. I am only sorry I do not live closer to the dealership to be a part of the rally's and get-togethers they have. Robert Hayden
