It's something that should be added at the factory. Took less than a minute to install with a spritz of WD40. Soapy water might be a better choice, though. The extra height provided by the pad results in less pedal travel to engage the rear brakes and more pressure on the shoes for better stopping. Real brakes instead of retarders.

This was very easy to install and what is more important it made the brake much more accessible and in my mind safer.

Pedal was easy to put on once I started with outside edge first and just stretched inside edge over metal existing pedal. It raised the brake pedal enough to be comfortable.

I bought this to raise the height of the brake pedal because I lowered my pegs. It took all of 1 minute to install.

This rubber brake peddle cover installs easily in under a minute and adds about 3/4" height to the peddle, making it easier to apply the rear brakes. No more Russian Ballet every time you want to stop. I highly recommend this product.
