Economy Aftermarket Hydraulic Steering Damper

Steering damper went out and I bought this as replacement. Good damper, but the length of throw is one centimeter short of bump stops on the steering.

If you are needing a replacement or upgrade for the stock damper, you can't go wrong with this unit. The second you open the package and get it in yoke hands, you will feel and see three quality okie this dampener. When installed, you will immediately notice no more "death wobble" and steering head shake. And this piece "actually" has adjustments that work! It made my 2017 Ural Gear Up enjoyable to ride and can be the difference between a bike that gets used and one that gets sold or just sits in the garage because of bad riding characteristics.

The OEM Damper on my 2021 Gear-Up started to fail, so I looked ino options to replace it. The first item that came up in my search was this one by UralNE and I thought "This price must just be for an adapter or an add-on to the OEM damper". My local dealer had a new OEM one in stock for $225 which seemed convenient, but I realized that my OEM damper just quit and I have another friend with a 2019 Gear-Up that had two dampers replaced under warranty. I decided that I don't want to spend money on exactly the same product, so I did a bit more digging into this one and once I was sure that the price was for a whole replacement damper, I went ahead and ordered it. I'm in Canada, so with conversion, shipping and taxes it cost me $190 cdn. I will say though that it is TOTALLY worth it. Now that it's installed and in use I wonder whether my OEM damper ever worked correctly. I am super impressed with this version and highly recommend that anyone that's still using an OEM damper should replace it with this one ASAP.

It is working great. although it is 1.5" shorter than the original. It has reduced the turning radius just a little but worth the vast cost difference to the original one.

The stock damper on my GU was inadequate to stop the head shake inherent on these beasts, this unit solves the problem!

The damper on my 2014 was tired, and I had a lot of low-speed wobble. This new damper entirely takes care of that, and at a good price.

This damper just works and is easy to adjust. It entirely fixed a low-speed wobble at about 35 mph. The bike feels so much safer.

2021 GU - a year and a half into ownership, I had to crank my BiTubo to max setting for any effect. I ordered this, and like it much better, I have plenty of adjustment room now.

I updated my 2014 Gear-up with this stabilizer and it made a huge difference. I feel much safer now. thanks

I had trouble with the damper on my new gear up. The wobbles were terrible. The dealer replace under warranty the damper. This did not help. I ordered this damper The change was like day and night! Even on half damping it is fantastic! Best money I ever spent!

I ride all year. The stock damper seems to lose function in temperatures under 40, plus I have no idea where the damper is in its' adjustment range. The new damper should fix that. My only complaint is that I ordered a red unit and received a black one, other than that, great.
