I did this product and is outstanding overall.
The written instructions are not very detailed, but that is no fault of the dealership. I found that for any DIY out there that the "Bark-Busters" YouTube channel and or web page gives a very thorough visual explanation on how to install and what to do on the throttle housing side in particular. Both the provided written institutions and the "Bark Buster" Brand Youtube/web-page, state that a good knife and hack saw are needed for a clean cuts on the grips and 'no more the 3mm' cut for the hack saw on the plastic throttle body side. If you buy this product and are a DIY'er have both those tools handy as it is not stated prior to purchase. Bark-Buster video also shows how to clear away the plastic from the inside of the throttle body side with a "Dremmal" tool. It is not necessary but if your a DYI'er and you have a Dremmal tool on hand even better! All and all pretty self explanatory. I added the, "how too" resources should any DIY'er's or even dealerships whom have yet to install this specific product.
Loved the product. Ural of New England got my order sent out fast and no long wait. I wish shipping was a bit less on orders, but cant complain, as Ural of New England rocks sending my orders out. Love it! I recommend these for anyone that wants to keep their hands warm, or warmer, I have battery heated gloves, and this part helps protect my investment in my heated gloves, and keeps my hands warmer, protected, and free to move on the controls year round in any type of conditions. Other similar products that cover the controls and offer protection do not have the freedom to use the controls like these guards do. I have use "mitten type" Velcro guards in the past and if you pull your hand out for any reason it is difficult to "snake" your hand back up into that mitten on the handlebars. These guards, although a bit more pricey then other options are perfect for freedom to use the controls safety and effectively, without having to sacrifice the weather protection that other products offer. Worth the extra price for sure, and Ural of New England had them in stock ready to ship! Love it!
