Heidenau Tires in 19” and 18” are now available as an upgrade for all Urals. These tires are original equipment on all cT models. The Heidenau tire is designed specifically for motorcycles with a sidecar. Driving and steering forces are evenly distributed over a large contact area thanks to the angular contour of the tire. The longitudinal profile in the center of the tire reduces wear and increases mileage.
We also recommend that you upgrade to heavy duty tubes (18" and 19") we have had great success with these as well as with the low friction armor strip that goes over the inside of the rim to protect the tube from the spoke hardware.

Fantastic tires. I switched out my original knobbies for these and my ride is smooth and luxurious now. Plus, these tires still get me out of sand and up the steep, rough trails.
I highly recommend these tires for anyone riding 80% hard surfaces.

Best method to keep your Ural from making metallic grinding noises when you ride.
I ordered two tires because I'd flunk the safety inspection for my '17 M70 without them. URALNE got them to me on time for me to remain legal. Can't ask for more than that. The Hiedenaus also last quite a bit longer than the old Russian tires I used on my '01 Patrol.

Good tire choice
Got over 7,000km out of the 18" K28 mounted on my cT as the "pusher". Good traction, quiet, nice handling, and long life. A good consideration in your tire selection.
