Its beautiful new design, useful storage compartment, and great comfort make this sidecar seat upgrade a must have on pre 2016 models. It is a simple bolt on replacement, with all necessary mounting hardware included.

Very Nice, But…
Looks great and a huge improvement over the OEM highback in my ‘07 Retro. No instructions but pretty intuitive. The o-ring return “spring” on the seat base latch is an interesting idea and I’ll try it on some future garage project. Here’s my big but(t)… rather than instructions I could have used a list of Russian curses to use the first time I tried the latch and it bound up. “Dupa” was all I could come up with and that wasn’t very satisfying.

2011 Patrol sidecar seat
Installation was very easy. The seat and seat back aligned with existing holes. The bolts appear to be plated steel, not stainless steel. The bolts under the side car do not have lock washers and will depend on torque to keep them from backing out.

High Quality Sidecar Seat
My 2006 Ural Patrol sidecar seat was looking a little shabby so I decided to up grade to a better seat. The 2017 style sidecar seat is a quality, well made and comfortable seat that adds a lot to my Ural. Highly recommended

Easy install, better seat than pre 2017!
I installed this seat kit on a 2014 Patrol and even though there were no instructions, none were necessary. I didn't have to drill any holes, the back uses 4 existing holes and the bottom of the sidecar had holes with rubber grommets that were perfectly aligned for the seat pan. The seat places the passenger slightly higher than the stock seat, something my passenger prefers.
